This unit equips participants with the skills and knowledge to confidently lead the initial response to work health and safety (WHS) incidents and conduct effective incident investigations. It covers planning, managing and reporting on investigations where an incident has caused, or could have caused, injury, illness, or damage.
Designed for people working in WHS and supervisory roles across a wide range of industries, the unit supports those who apply well‑developed WHS skills in diverse and complex workplace environments. It focuses on practical, prevention‑based investigation approaches and may involve working with specialist advisers where needed. The unit does not cover investigations conducted for legal advice or court proceedings.
This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at a facility organised by Rescue Group Training.
